fanciful interiors: dresser redo

I've been thinking a lot about how to redo my room lately and I'll be starting on converting my dressers and vanity. So to prepare, I've been scouring the internets for inspiration. Here are a few of my favourites:

The above transformation is from Salvage Sally. I think it's amazing how she's kept the integrity of the furniture while still making it look fresh and modern. Swoon.

Apartment Therapy had an amazing catalog of different ways you can customize the Ikea's Rast Dresser (here and here). I'm completely floored by the imagination. I've definitely bookmarked this for future reference!

So next weekend, I'll be embarking on my very first furniture DIY: one vintage vanity, and 3 pieces of not-so-vintage (but rather ugly) bedroom furniture. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!
